This was the only MTV ad that Boy George actually sung on. George sings "I want my MTV 24 hours a day on cable TV'.

This was the very first AD to feature the full unedited ad to feature Boy George singing. Most ads were edited with George just saying "24 hours a day" It aired on March 21,1983. This was the height of Culture Club in America because their single 'Church Of The Poison Mind' had just reached No.10 here in the US charts. Their next single 'I'll Tumble 4 Ya' would put them on top of the world. The music Ads ran every hour on the hour on MTV back then. Some songs were used in the back ground including 'Karma Chameleon' and 'Church Of The Poison Mind'! Also featured in this ad in video ad No.2 we have George and all of Culture Club saying "I want my MTV" with 'Karma Chameleon' used in the back ground.
