Jordan: Why did you decide to pick Cultures Club's Victims?
Gavin Bradley: I was in a bar with a friend and heard the original version after not having heard it for a very long time. I was struck with what a great song it was, so the idea was running around in my mind to do something with it at some point.
Dwayne Minard: We had the basis of an original track we were working on and we weren't happy with the vocal idea we had been pursuing . Gavin realized that our track was perfect for "Victims and the next time I came down into the studio Gavin played it over top of what he had already. Then we finally went through a process of changing the speed and restructuring the track around the "Victims: sample.
Jordan: I see.
Jordan: Did the two of you ever think that Unknown Pleasures would be so massive in the clubs?
Dwayne Minard: Actually the crowd went nuts the first time I tested it in a club! I was in shock. Before that we didn't know how other people would react to it.
Jordan: When I first heard Guido play this at Shampoo in Philadelphia I went crazy even the crowd went crazy, I asked him who mixed it. He said "Oh Righteous" I said, "I got to find this track!". That's when I asked him for your email address. And now look I'm interviewing the two of you!
