PHILADELPHIA — This week, the Philadelphia Phillies placed right-handed reliever Zach Pop on the 15-day injured list with a right calf strain, retroactive to April 13.
The mild strain occurred during agility work after a recent appearance, manager Rob Thomson confirmed. In a corresponding move, the team recalled left-hander Kyle Backhus from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
