I have been researching different online undergraduate programs in computer applications and came across SRM Online BCA. I am interested in understanding its scope after graduation, especially from the perspective of someone who wants to start a career in the IT industry.

A BCA can provide a foundation in programming, databases, software concepts, computer networks, web technologies, and other areas of computer applications. However, I think the actual career scope depends on how well a student develops practical skills alongside the academic curriculum.

For example, after completing an online BCA, students may explore entry-level opportunities in areas such as software support, web development, technical support, application testing, and other technology-related roles. Some students may also choose to strengthen their knowledge through certifications, internships, coding practice, or postgraduate education.

I would like to know specifically how SRM Online BCA prepares students for these possibilities. Does the course include practical assignments and projects that can help students create a portfolio? Also, how useful is the curriculum for someone who wants to learn programming from the beginning?

Another question I have is whether students can pursue an MCA or other postgraduate qualification after completing the program. Having a clear higher-study pathway could be important for students who want to continue their education.

If anyone here is currently studying SRM University Online BCA or has already completed it, I would appreciate your experience. What skills did you develop during the course, and what career or higher-study options are you considering after graduation?
