I spent years buying clothes on impulse, and my wardrobe quietly filled with pieces I rarely reached for. Getting dressed felt harder, not easier, because almost-right jumpers, thin tees and sale bargains kept competing for attention. This autumn I decided to change the approach: keep less, choose better, and only buy something when it clearly earns a place.

The first step was honest. I listed what I actually wore in a normal week, rather than what I imagined wearing. That short list included one warm layer, a couple of reliable tops, jeans that fit without fuss, and one piece with personality. Everything else was decoration, and decoration can wait until the basics are right.

Character matters too. A good piece of zach bryan merch feels personal rather than trendy, so it gets worn on ordinary days as well as special ones. For the everyday layer, a well-cut parke hoodie is hard to beat: it holds its shape, layers easily, and works for a walk, a drive or a relaxed evening at home.

Before buying, I now ask whether a piece completes three outfits I already own, whether it replaces something worn out, and whether I would still want it in a month. Waiting a few days usually answers the last question. Fewer, better pieces mean less clutter, less waste and mornings that start more calmly. That feels like a wardrobe working for me, at last.
